A new yet-to-air reality show which hopes to bring men and women who don't 'fit the traditional norms of the modeling industry’ to the attention of famous international brands, may have already found its star contestant.
The Fashion Show, conceived by Canadian-based produced Caroline Bernier, is now in it's final round of castings with the chosen contestants due to fly to Mexico for filming next week.
And 5ft 5in Lisa Opie, 22, who recently found out she'd been picked for the contest, certainly did her best to promote herself this weekend as she frolicked on the beaches of Miami wearing an assortment of skin-baring bikinis of her own design.
Set for stardom? Lisa Opie gets the paparazzi treatment as she flaunts her toned body in Miami - she has been chosen to appear in a yet-to-air modeling reality show called The Fashion Show
Photographers gave the brunette Kim Kardashian look-a-like 'paparazzi treatment', taking candid shots of her bronzed, toned body as she played in the waves.
The self-proclaimed 'entrepreneur, model, professional host, swimsuit designer, actress, fashion blogger and anti-bullying activist' said she was overjoyed to be selected.
She wrote on her website: 'I am so excited because I just found out that . . . out of over 3,500 applicants, I was selected as one of the women to compete in Mexico, for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to truly launch my modeling career.'
Brunette beauty: According to her Facebook page, Ms Opie is a seasoned beauty pageant queen
Where does she store all of those tiaras? She has won the titles of Miss Florida Nationwide 2014 Miss Virgin Islands 2013, Miss American Samoa 2012 and Miss Teen Williamsburg 2010 among others
According to her Facebook page, Ms Opie is a seasoned beauty pageant queen, winning the titles of Miss Nationwide 2014 Miss Virgin Islands 2013, Miss American Samoa 2012 and Miss Teen Williamsburg 2010 among others.
However, her 5ft 5in height which does not meet catwalk standards, seemingly held her back from making it big. That's where The Fashion Show comes into play.
A description for the still-in-production show reads: 'The modeling world needs a new standard; a unique new look that breaks the mold in every sense. The next Fashion Hero will have the chance to work with famous name brands.
Action shot: Show dates and TV channels for The Fashion Show are apparently 'still in the works'. In the meantime however, Ms Opie will no doubt be practicing her poses for the camera
Catching her good side: She appears to be taking a 'selfie' in this shot
'We are looking for models that do not fit the conventional super model mold.'
After submitting an entry video - along with a $9.99 fee - it is then up to the public to cast their vote on the contestants who should go through to each new round.
The competition is open to men and women aged 16 to 40 years old and instead of looks, and emphasis is placed on having a ‘beautiful personality.'
