Meanwhile east-end rapper Plan B also stepped in to the limelight for the first time in recent months for the bash.
He was nominated for both Best Contemporary Song and Best Original Film Score for Ill Manors but lost out on both the gongs.

Ben - who is currently busy working behind the scenes on his Charity the Each One Teach One Trust - showed off his punky new half-shaved hairdo as he posed on the red carpet.
Fans won't have to wait long for their next glimpse of him - he's lined up with headline performances at festivals including Global Gathering, Lovebox and Sound Island over the summer.

Calvin Harris was on hand to collect his award for Songwriter Of The Year for his efforts on current album 18 Months which features a endless list of big name collaborations including Rihanna, Example, Florence Welch and Tinie Tempah.
The handsome Scot - who is currently dating Rita Ora - happily accepted his statue while gushing: "This is easily the greatest achievement of my entire life."

Whilst Emeli Sande scooped two trophies for her chart-topping hit Next To Me she wasn't in attendance at the ceremony, held at London's trendy Grosvenor House Hotel.
Alt-J were also lucky winners on the day picking up the trophy for Best Album for their effort an Awesome Wave.

Lianne La Havas added a touch of glamour to the red carpet in a flowing metallic gown with sheer panels to the sides that flashed plenty of flesh.
