If you like to soak up your fantasy and sci-fi in 70mm magnificence, Warner Bros. has good news for you... and your eyeballs. The Hollywood studio has announced a 20-movie extension to its worldwide deal with IMAX that will bring its biggest properties to the format over the next three years.
Exciting tidings when you consider that Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim - robots vs monsters! - and Alfonso Cuarón's space-set Gravity - Sandra Bullock and George Clooney vs the vast expanse of space - are cued up for 2013.
"Together with IMAX and our exhibitor partners, we have built a unique, incremental distribution platform over the last ten years,” explained Dan Fellman, the studio's head of domestic distribution. "We are excited to continue this tradition and offer these films to audiences in the most premium of moviegoing experiences."
Other Warner films to get IMAX release next year are Jack The Giant Slayer, Man Of Steel, 300: Rise Of An Empire, Seventh Son, and The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug
