A recent survey says that Indian Audience prefers Romantic Movies over Thriller, Comedy & Action movies. Shah Rukh Khan is known as the King of Romance. His Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is the Longest Running Film in Indian Cinema history. Shah Rukh Khan & Yash Raj Films is known for their Romantic Blockbusters. So can they recreate the magic of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge in 2012 ?
Oscar Award winner composer A. R. Rehman is giving the music of this film Oscar Award winner Lyricist Gulzar is writing the lyrics of the songs of the film. So one thing is sure that Shah Rukh Khan & Yash Chopra’s Next will get all the Music Awards this year like 'Rockstar' did last year.
As per current reports the film will clash with Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardar & Akshay Kumar’s Khiladi 786. So the screen space, audience will be divided & the collections will be affected. And on 30th November, Aamir Khan’s Talaash is releasing which will hugely affect the screen space of the film. In such conditions it will be almost impossible to break the Highest opening day Collections’ record of Agneepath(23 Crore), The Highest weekend collections’ record of Ra. One & the highest lifetime collection’s record of 3 Idiots(202 Crore).
But if the film gets a solo release. Then the film will have a 6 Day weekend without any competition; So it can earn 100 Core + in its Opening Weekend & it may even cross 202 Crore mark breaking the record of 3 Idiots if liked universally like 3 Idiots.
But it will be the highest grosser of all time only if it is more of a ‘masala’ romantic film; Because such movies like Wanted, Dabangg, Singham, Bodyguard are working now a days. But as per earlier reports the film is a pure romantic film which may not be liked by a special section of audience.
The film will surely cross 100 Crore Nett mark in Indian market if it releases with other films also, But touching the 200 Crore mark will depend on the fact that the film will be liked by Classes & Masses - both or not.
