Trailer 2: James Franco and the Three Witches
We've got a new extended trailer for Oz: The Great and Powerful, and this time we get to see a little more of the plot. James Franco is Oscar (easily shortened to Oz) Diggs, a small-time magician aspiring to greatness who's sucked into a tornado in a hot air balloon. "I don't want to die," he shouts. "I haven't accomplished anything!" But really this whole thing is kind of his own fault for taking the hot air balloon out for a spin during a tornado storm.
He's whisked from the black-and-white dreariness of dust bowl Kansas to the overly saturated Oz, where he's hailed as "the chosen one," a wizard tasked with saving everyone from the Wicked Witch, whose identity is still being kept secret. Is it Mila Kunis or Rachel Weisz? Or is it all a trick to set us up for Michelle Williams as the evilest witch of all?
Highlights include: James Franco sliding around in a Scrooge McDuck-sized pile of gold coins; evil flying monkeys; Zack Braff voicing a scared good monkey; Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz fighting Harry Potter-style, wands and all; and Franco and Kunis kissing in the Dark Forest.
